Olivier Bernstein Mixed Grand Cru Case (7 bottles of 2016 vintage)

Olivier Bernstein’s wines offer some of the most distinctive experiences that stir people’s emotions like few other fine wines. Although he only arrived on the Burgundy scene in 2007, his wines are now some of the most highly regarded in the Cote d’Or.

Just over two decades ago, Olivier left a successful career in international business to pursue to his passion – wine.  He began by studying oenology in Beaune, which included an apprenticeship at Domaine Rouget in 2002, where he got to meet the late Henri Jayer. He then purchased eight hectares of land in Roussillion in the south of France and established his own domaine, Mas de la Deveze.

But Olivier always believed Burgundy was special, so he moved to the region and produced his first vintage in 2007. Olivier obsesses over his terroirs, a theme that runs common to all the best Burgundy producers but his tiny quantities – often just a barrel or two – allow him to really home in on extracting the best of each site in each year. The results are a range of wines that each express a sense of individuality that can transform them from a great drink to a true fine wine experience.
